Happy Holi | Festival of Color | Friendship and Love


Holi is the Indian festival which is also called as Festival of Color. Holi is also known as Phakuwa or Phagwah, Do?ajatra, Dol Jatra or Basantotsav.It is celebrated by all Hindus or Indian original people around the world. Festival starts with small bonfire where people together celebrate time by songs, dance. In some places, ladies offers Panch Bhog to bonfire to celebrate the victory of good over evil.

The word "Holi" come from "Holika", the evil sister of the king Hiranyakashipu. You can read here about History Behind Holika Dahan. On the next day, people spread color powder all around and apply wet colors on each other's faces. It is the indication of love and friendship.

After playing with colors, pleople clean up and dress up for meeting their friends, relatives and wish them lucks with sweets.
